Text Box: Dear Plum Grove Families and, especially, PTSA president, Barb Downing,
I cannot express enough gratitude to all of you for your support and generosity. The cards with their messages of encouragement, the gift baskets, and gift cards have been extraordinarily helpful to me and my entire family. The Pea Pod gift cards, in particular, have been particularly beneficial. At times, my mobility is rather restricted. The fact that I can turn my computer on, order my groceries on-line and have them delivered to the door is a dream! It also allows me to take one major chore off my husband’s shoulders, which he really appreciates.
More importantly, however, is how much your kind words have lifted me emotionally. I was devastated to learn that I would be fighting my second cancer in a twenty month period of time. With all of your support, the fight becomes easier.
I have truly loved getting to know many of your children and I miss my work at Plum Grove. Even in a school with over 800 children, I am in the wonderful position of being able to see how special and unique each one is. It is neat to see each child’s strengths and talents. It is my hope that each of your children will find success and happiness, regardless of what path is taken. With all of your strong family support, I know that the road is much easier.
Again, I am so thankful to all of you,
	Sincerely,
	Cris Kearney
Text Box: **A NOTE FROM NUTRITION SERVICES**
Starting Monday, May 4th, junior high students will no longer be able to charge (use I.O.U.’s) lunch or a la carte items. If your student owes money for lunch or a la carte, they will not be able to purchase anything until the I.O.U. is paid. Your student needs to have sufficient funds in their account for any purchases after this date.
Mealtime Online will be turned off from Thursday, June 4, 2009 until Monday, August 17, 2009. No online payments can be made between these dates.
If your eighth grade student has a balance at the end of the school year, this balance can be refunded or, if there is a sibling in a District 15 school, be transferred to the sibling’s account. Please contact the lunch coordinator at your school or (847) 963-3928 to find out how much is left in your student’s account. Cash refunds of less than $10.00 can be issued to your student upon receipt of a signed parent/guardian note. Refunds greater than $10.00 will be issued by a District check and mailed home to the address indicated once a parent request has been received. Please be advised that we cannot issue cash refunds the last three days of school. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your lunch coordinator or the Nutrition Services office at (847) 963-3928.
