COMMITTEE - DESCRIPTION

Book Fair - Along with the librarian, organize the annual book fair.

Books - Organize a onetime book sale during parent orientation in September.

Calendar - Organize and put out the school calendar for the summer mailing.

Directory - Organize and put out the school directory in the fall.

Environmental Ed - Provide opportunities for students to participate in environmentally conscious programs.

Health and Safety Committee - Organize and run the annual blood drive and visions and hearing screening.

Hospitality - Provide food and drink for 4-5 school functions throughout the year (usually run by at least 2 people).

Magazine Drive (Fundraising) - Run the annual fundraiser in the fall.

Market Day - Organize Market Days monthly throughout the school year.

Membership - Help with membership sign up at Parent Orientation and distribute directories.

Parent/Guardian Volunteer Coordinator - Gather and organize all volunteer sheet information returned from the summer mailing and provide it to the rest of the committees for the school year.

Parent to Parent - Provide hospitality during this one day event in the fall.

Publicity - Notify local publications of upcoming Plum Grove PTSA Events.

Teacher Appreciation - Provide treats, a staff luncheon in December and special items during Teacher Appreciation Week in May.

Web site - Update and maintain our Web site.

Widening Our World (W. O. W.) - Annual February event that provides students with information and practical knowledge on careers they might want to pursue.

8th Grade Dance - Organize the 8th grade dance in the spring.

8th Grade End of Year - Organize donations and raffle for 8th grade breakfast in May activities.
