Environmental Ed

Plum Grove is having an Environmental Education recycling drive. It will start November 17th,Wednesday and Thursday of that week. You are welcome to stay after school to help make posters to promote it. All are welcome. We hope to see you there!

Coming soon to Plum Grove, the book of the week. We will be showing great books that are worth reading, so keep an eye out for it.

Yearbook Club

Yearbook club will meet TOMORROW (Wednesday, 11/19). Teachers if you have not turned in your student's survey's please do so.

We have a few homerooms that are almost at 100% for the sale of yearbooks. The first homeroom envelope that Mrs. Meadows’ receives that is at 100% will have their homeroom picture in the yearbook!

Remember...Friday is the last day that yearbooks are being sold. They will be sold this last week of school before break, but you will not be guaranteed a book.

 

Volleyball

Any girl interested in trying out for volleyball should sign up outside the fitness center. 8th grade try-outs will be held December 2, 3, and 4. 7th grade try-outs will be held December 9, 10, and 11. Any questions please see Ms. Krueger or Ms. O'Brien.

 

Testing Begins Soon

MAP testing will begin again at Plum Grove Junior High School
On Tuesday, December 2.  All students will be testing in the areas of Reading and Math.
Your mission:  Challenge yourself to improve your scores from the fall.
We do MAP testing to measure academic growth and improve instruction.

 

Your Challenge:  In the fall an overview of our school showed in reading that 90% of our 7th graders meet and exceeded standards and 95% of our 8th graders met and exceeded standards.  Increase those scores and your grade level will received a PIZZA LUNCH.

 

Will 7th grade improve their overall scores or will it be 8th grade?
